A-ha - Why I launched this blog

It's what every teacher talks about. Those moments when students say "A-ha! Think I got it!"

While covering education I have seen teachers strive for these moments. They have enthusiastically explained to me the new methods they've picked up and new tools they've used.

I've also experienced this search as the father of a child enrolled in a digital academy. It was especially true when I walked into the living room one night and saw him reading a book that he had helped write. A-ha!

"The Chalk Blog Learns" is exactly that. I want to share what I learn while covering education and searching for the tools to help me teach my child. My hope is that other parents and guardians may learn from what I've shared and other education reporters may also learn a bit.
